POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and drafting to join our team. Reporting directly to the Project Operations Division Director, you will contribute to the development, and optimization of mechanical systems and designs using SolidWorks as well as the maintenance of the PDM database
| EDUCATION: | Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. |
| EXPERIENCE: | Minimum 2 years in mechanical design, including manufacturing drawings, piping and industrial applications. |
| LANGUAGES: | Advanced proficiency in English (speaking and writing). |

SKILLS
- Expertise in manufacturing drawings, including tolerancing, fits, surface finishes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS standards.
- Proficiency in creating General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for mechanical systems, ensuring accurate spatial layouts and technical specifications.
- SolidWorks proficiency: 3D modeling, 2D drafting, BOM creation, and rendering with PhotoView 360.
- Understanding of fabrication and machining processes to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of mechanical calculations and AutoCAD is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and draft mechanical systems that meet customer specifications and project requirements.
- Create and review detailed manufacturing drawings to ensure compliance with standards and ease of fabrication.
- Develop General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) to provide clear spatial and dimensional representations of equipment and systems.
- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings, including exploded views, dimensional details, and BOMs.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI and/or ISO standards in all designs.
- Maintain and manage the PDM database for projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
